Training your iguana to get to drink water can be useful. It helps to place an iguana treat in the iguana's water dish so that the iguana will be able to get some water that it needs. When this is done regularly it will help to get the iguana to be able to develop a higher desire for water even when the iguana treat is not placed in the water dish.

Having the iguana cage at a hot temperature is important for digestion. Since an iguana is cold blooded it needs to be in a warmer area so that it will be able to digest food properly.

Iguanas will need calcium and phosphorous in a two to one ratio for proper iguana health. Therefore, you should make sure that the foods you give the animal have these nutrients. Don't forget to have enough UVA and UVB light sources in your iguana cage so that the animal will be able to absorb those nutrients so that it will be healthier.

These are all important things to think about for getting iguana food. Your iguana will need to be at its best health possible. Part of the health will involve not only the food and the nutrients that are in it but also the conditions that the iguana lives in. They are all essential parts of iguana care to use.
